Meet Sloane Miller, MFA, MSW, LMSW, ACC
I’m Sloane — an ICF-certified and credentialed coach, a licensed mental health professional, writer and published author, and workshop facilitator with more than 20 years of experience helping people think more clearly, creatively, and with greater self-awareness about their lives and work.
My coaching is grounded in motivational interviewing, behavioral science, and the belief that people are most powerful when they’re connected to their own wisdom. I’m here as a thought partner — someone who asks the questions that shift perspective, challenge assumptions, and help you tap into the clarity you already have.
My work is culturally responsive and identity-affirming. I have extensive experience partnering with BIPOC, QPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent clients, and I’m committed to ongoing learning to ensure my coaching remains ethical, inclusive, and informed by current best practices. Your lived experience shapes the work we do together.
With a professional background spanning healthcare, pharma, hospitality, and nonprofits — plus decades of private practice experience and a deep academic foundation in social work and the arts — I bring both range and depth to the table, along with a steady presence that supports true insight and lasting change.
I hold a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, an MSW from NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, and an MFA in Writing and Literature from Bennington College. I’m certified in Katie Goodman’s Improvisation for Life program, hold a Professional Coaching Certificate from NYU (ICF-accredited), and am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). I’ve also been performing musical improvisational comedy in and around New York City since 2012.
